Thorpe Repair Garage

Thorpe Repair Garage located in N. Charleston, SC. This was an existing building that had a change of use to a commercial repair garage. As such there was a need to field verify the existing conditions and complete a code analysis for the client and local building department. The code analysis determined that in lieu of installing a full sprinkler system in the building we could construct a 3 hour fire barrier to subdivide into smaller fire areas to achieve code compliance for the new use at a lower cost. The images are of the fire barrier and rated doors being installed.
